Writing your goals down so you can have something in concrete takes that lofty-seaming goal and brings it down to a level that we can comprehend. Its like our brains have a built-in filter that filters out things that seem too hard, so we never seem to get around to starting. But if you break something down into several smaller parts, which are able to be achieved much easier; starting will be a lot smoother.
